How are cells made?
Mitosis
In mitosis, cells recreate and split to create two identical copies of the original cell. When more new body cells are required mitosis occurs. Mitosis can only occur asexually.
Meiosis
Meiosis is a process in cell division during which the number of chromosomes decreases to half the original number by two divisions of the nucleus, which results in the production of sex cells.
